Job Summary:

Assist Landscape Architects and Planners in application of principles, methods and techniques of landscape architecture and land planning with special emphasis on computer aided drafting.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews development standards and assists Landscape Architect or Planner with plan preparation, evaluation of field conditions, design changes, and reports.
  • The successful candidate will be able to produce master concept plans, construction documents, site plans, detail drawings, specifications, cost estimates, maps, and graphic representations, as directed by the Landscape Architect/Designer or Planner.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret technical reports and land development regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies, and work as part of a team with other employees.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, minimum 2 years of AutoCAD and Land F/X experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Land F/X, and Microsoft Office required.
  • Familiarity with horticultural and construction practices and Southwest Florida land development regulations is preferred.

The following are also a plus:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Modeling, ability to produce hand graphics and sketches, ArcGIS, and SketchUp.
  • Excellent driving record and valid Florida driver’s license.
